New and advanced security devices are a necessity to create a safe world. Though not new, born-worn cameras are such advanced devices that help take surveillance to places beyond the reach of general surveillance. Worn on the body, these little cameras record the occurrences happening in front of the bearer much more closely and clearly than general surveillance. Body-worn cameras are well established in security- relatedareas like the Police department, the border defence forces, etc. They are useful in traffic control, riot control, bomb diusing squads , anti – terrorism squads, VIP security teams, etc. Body-worn cameras are versatile devices worthy of attention and use beyond Police and Defense teams.

This segment of surveillance is inclined to constant innovation and technological & changes due to the location of placement of these cameras, viz the human body.
