WAVE IR

Day & Night CCTV cameras do operate in black and white during the night, and many security cameras adopt a monochrome filter during hours of darkness. However if the lighting condition further decrease or in case of pitch darkness, CCTV cameras have vision loss problem at night and may not provide image or video at night. In such cases CCTV cameras need infrared lights to illuminate the scene. CCTV with basic IR have their own problems. They whiten the surfaces or faces close to the camera thus providing no facial recognition in case of investigations. In order to achieve higher distance coverage using IR, the intensity near the camera is very high which results in this whitening. To overcome this problem, Wavesys Global has introduced WaveIR- the smart IR technology. WaveIR cameras illuminate the entire scene.

  • WaveIR automatically adjusts intensity of IR depending on distance of the subject
  • Dynamically reduces overexposure thus ensuring that subject do not get white-washed
  • Helps in facial recognition and identification of vehicle plate numbers even when they are very close to the camera
  • Appropriate exposure levels ensures that details are retained.
